The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

Although some people have stated that trying to get sensitive documents from the U.S. government, with the FOIA, is like dealing with Stalin's bureaucracy, it can be useful, particularly if you are willing to do a little legal research and fight the U.S. military with FOIA appeals, if they deny your request. If you are lurking around sites operated by military contractors, it is useful to have their radio frequencies in your scanner. Here are various frequency lists, taken from FCC records from July 1994 for California (or nationwide) for various contractors:
Since intelligence agencies use "high tech" methods such as reconnaissance satellites and computer generated imagery to uncover foreign secrets, we should learn about these kinds of technologies, to aid us in uncovering U.S. military secrets. An example of these technologies is digital radar imaging.
